Work duties/training includes but&lt;br /&gt;is not limited to CA native plant identification, seed collection, and&lt;br /&gt;propagation, native plant re-vegetation, irrigation installation,&lt;br /&gt;maintenance, and monitoring of restoration projects, invasive species&lt;br /&gt;removal, and herbicide application. At times trainees will be asked to&lt;br /&gt;travel and stay overnight to implement projects for up to five&lt;br /&gt;consecutive days and duration of four weeks. _Physical Requirements_:&lt;br /&gt;Standing/sitting intermittently throughout the day, walking, hiking and&lt;br /&gt;climbing in rough terrain, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., working&lt;br /&gt;outdoors in inclement weather, continuous bending and stooping&lt;br /&gt;throughout the day, operate various power tools safely (including a two&lt;br /&gt;person auger and chainsaw). Able to drive oversized, standard shift&lt;br /&gt;vehicles for local and regional travel in all weather conditions,&lt;br /&gt;safely, up to eight hours per day. This is a temporary nine-month&lt;br /&gt;position geared for hard workers interested in restoration and related&lt;br /&gt;fields. Valid CA drivers license required.
